MOLECULAR BIOLOGY LAB

The molecular biology laboratory is currently equipped with all facilities to carry out standard molecular biology techniques such as DNA extraction, polymerase chain reactions (PCR), gel electrophoresis, protein extraction and western-blot, zymography, enzyme and Elisa assays. A Laser Capture Microdissection (LCM) microscope enables users to isolate specific single cells or entire areas of tissue to be used in genomics (DNA), transcriptomics (mRNA, miRNA), proteomics or metabolomics.
